Multipurpose

Sometimes, it happens, that several events are in the same day... now you have the choice of making several cards or integrate the events in one card.
I tried the second solution... in my case the 50th birthday of the husband of my old school friend and in the same time their silver wedding anniversary.
So this is the card that I came up with, oh and did I say, that I am late...*oops*... with stamps and dies from PTI and SU

Manchmal kommt es vor, dass am gleichen Tag mehrere Ereignisse statt finden und dann hat man die Wahl, enteweder mehrere Karten zu machen oder alles auf einer Karte unter zu bringen.
Ich habe mich hier mal an der zusammengefassten Version versucht,... in diesem Fall der 50. Geburtstag des Mannes meiner Freundin, sowie deren Silberhochzeit.... und das Ganze ... *oops* ... auch noch zu spaet!
Hier meine Version mit PTI und SU Stempeln und Stanzen.

What a mess!!!

I don't know how to translate the new challenge at Stempelhuehnerhof, but basically it is a mess. First we stamp and emboss... then dip the paper into water and different colors, then the whole thing is ironed. Ask me for my fingers, they do have the whole range of colors on them, but my gloves, that I prepared are clean (since I forgot to use them!!)
The result is okay - but the technique definitely needs more training!!

Wasserstempelei hiess es am Samstag im Stempelhuehnerhof - eine Technik die mit ziemlich viel Sauerei verbunden ist - aber auch Spass macht! Dazu stempelt man ein Motiv erst auf ein glattes Papier und embosst es, dann wird es in Wasser und Stempelfarbe eingetaucht und rumgewischt und gemantscht!!! Meine Finger sehen ziemlich farbig aus, denn ich hab die bereitliegenden Handschuhe geschont (oder sollte ich vergessen sagen *oops*)
Das Resultat kann sich erstmal sehen lassen, ist aber definitiv noch ausbaufaehig!!!

Geometrische Formen

Geometric shapes is the new challenge at Stempelhuehnerhof for last Saturday.
The first card was a fast decision - my new PTI set was still on the desk and a fun, fast and easy card was made within half an hour.
The second card was a case of one of the girls at Stempelhuehnerhof - a challenge itself! I though I have the same stamp set then she used, but I turned out wrong,... so I had to make some ajustments... I think I lose track of what I have or not!!!
Unfortunately my vacation comes to an end and soon it will be more quiet here at my blog. I have some cards made in advance, my be I will find at least the time to post them,....

Geometrischen Formen heisst unsere neue Herausforderung im Stempelhuehnerhof.
Die erste Karte war schnell gemacht, denn das neue Stempelset von PTI lag immer noch auf meinem Schreibtisch und nach einer halben Stunde war ich fertig.
Die zweite Karte entstand, weil ich glaubte ein Stempelset zu haben, mit dem eine Stempelkollegin im Stempelhuehnerhof eine tolle Karte gemacht hatte ... leider war ich falsch (oh ooo, ich verlier wohl den Ueberblick was ich habe und auch nicht!!) und hatte nur ein aehnliches Set, aber auch von PTI. Ich hab dann ihre Karte nachgemacht, mit anderen Stempeln, anderer Sketch und einen anderen Spruch, aber gleiche Farbkombi und Schmetterling.
Leider geht mein Urlaub heute zu Ende und ab morgen heisst es wieder malochen,.... deshalb wird es hier ab morgen wieder ruhiger. Ein paar Karten hab ich noch auf Lager, ich hoff ich hab wenigstens Zeit mal einzustellen.

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party too

I am still partying *LOL* ... I was looking at all your beautiful creations and decided to continue and make a second post. First time I looked at challenge no 3 - color inspiration, I thought - no, not me! But this is where a real challenge starts, right?? ... So I sat down, went trough my stamp pads and found I have the right colors (you know that hoarding syndrome?) ... then I went into my stamp sets and found *sight* tooooo many, choice is toooooo difficult! I had hard time to concentrate on one set and not to jump from idea to idea - finishing nothing at the end!
At last I decided for the Asian garden and additions, because I felt the lanterns can easily take a color mix. While stamping and messing around, I needed the bird (cut out on a 3D pad) to cover an unwanted spot and needed a quote, that is not two lines ... then decided there is too much emty space on the right side, so looked out for some Rhinestone sparkle (Asian cards can have that, right?).
At the end I am pleased, mainly because I stamped more or less the whole day, something I haven't done for ages and it felt good.
Thanks to Claire and her team for the big effort of all those inspirations - love the diversity, everybody can find something there.

With the last day light I took my photos and will enjoy my evening now - nighty night everybody!

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party

At Waltzingmouse it's party time - several challenges are out to play. One would like to participate in all the challenges, but where is the time .... the one that grabbed my attention most was 'Golden Oldies' (may be because I am a golden oldie!! ;o) LOL )
First time I 'met' Claire was actually in a challenge of another company. Wow - I thought, she is really good and saved her blog. A short while later, she had her first try with the 'Gingerbread'-sets.... mmmh I thought by myself - she is good, but a shop.... to be honest, I was suspicious, although I liked the set!
I remember after I bought then my first set and then - *could not believe it* - I won a prize with her for a comment - 5 sets!! At that point she completely got me into her fan club and since then I love not only her crafting work, also her company and designs. WMS is now the company with the biggest file over here and I made a lot of friends through Waltzingmouse, all over the world. Thanks Claire - keep going!
One of the sets I won was 'blessed by you' - I still, until today love it for the wonderful quotes in a great fond and quite often use it. This time I needed a 'thank you' for a friend who has done me a favor - just perfect for the set again. Since we moved back to Germany and I am reentered in my profession, time is so limited for my hobby! CAS became very dear to me and this is what you can see here - a simple card, made with love!

Christmas

I should have started muuuch earlier - and I knew. I am trying to do better now - promised a friend some cards, because she did me a lovely favor... and I am working on it....
The idea of the card came from HERE, but since it is not a one layer card, it did not fit in the challenge. I dug in my stamps and found this stamp from Unicorn, that was one of my first one and made a card, in honor of Egypt, still the country where my heart is...

I haette viiiiiieeel frueher anfangen sollen, - und ich wusste es auch! Jetzt versuch ich mich zu bessern - den ich habe einer Freundin ein Kartenset versprochen, weil sie mir einen ganz lieben Gefallen getan hat.... ich arbeite also an den Weihnachtskarten...
Ich habe die Idee, das Motiv in die Karte laufen zu lassen HIER gesehen, auch wenn es am Ende keine One Layer wurde ... Dazu hab ich diesen uralt Stempel von Unicorn ausgegraben, es war einer meiner Ersten und habe diese Karte in Gedanken an Aegypten gemacht, das Land, in dem immer noch mein Herz weilt..... 

Hearts

Because hearts always work, not only for Valentine, it was last week the challenge at Stempelhuehnerhof. A bit late here my version, made with stamps and dies from PTI. In the close up you can see the heart in the butterfly.
It is still rainy here - I should really start to craft... if only there would not be this daily life routine....

Herzen... gehen immer, nicht nur an Valentine, deshalb war es letzte Woche auch Thema im Stempelhuehnerhof. Ein wenig spaet, hier meine Versionen, Stempel und Stanzen von PTI. In der Nahaufnahme kann man das Herz im Schmetterling sehen.
Es regnet hier immer noch - und ich sollte mich nun wirklich mal an meinen Basteltisch setzen - wenn da nur nicht immer der taegliche Krimkrams so viel Zeit weg nehmen wuerde....

Not only a little girl....

also a little boy have had birthday. His birthday was in the middle of a stress period, so his present and card came late - sorry! I was happy to see he was happy with his present and card loving Mama was happy with the card!
This stamp from Technique Tuesday is already two years old and was never used - shame on me! Coloring was easy with Tom Bows and a little sparkle is in the middle of the car ;o)

Nicht nur ein kleines Mädchen (siehe rosa Karte) auch ein kleiner Junge hatte Geburtstag. Leider lag sein  Geburtstag inmitten einer Stressperiode und so bekam er Geschenk und Karte jetzt erst. Ich war froh, dass er sich trotzdem über das Geschenk gefreut hat und die Karten-liebende Mama hat sich über die Karte gefreut ;o) *lach*
Der Stempel von Technique Tuesday liegt hier schon zwei Jahre rum und wartete darauf gebraucht zu werden - Schande über mich!!!
Wünsch Euch einen schönen verregneten Sonntag - ich hoffe, dass ich zum Basteln komme, es hat sich ja genügend angesammelt ....

SI - Pink/Weiss

Gosh, is it true, - one month is past without any posts!!! Life is rolling too fast this days!! ...but now I am back (it is raining outside and crafting weather ;o)  ). Today is Saturday and with it the Saturday Inspiration at Stempelhuehnerhof - today with a color scheme, Pink and White!
*shudder* not really my cup of tea, but since a little girl is turning 3, I thought I might use it there.
Stamps are from PTI, Flower is of felt and die PTI. Ink, 'worn lipstick' Ancent Page and White from SU

Ach du meine Guete! es ist schon einen Monat her, dass ich mal was gepostet habe! Das Leben ist mir mal wieder zuuuu schnell im Moment.... aber nun bin ich mal wieder da (denn draussen regnet es und das bedeuted Bastelwetter! ;o)  )
Es ist Samstag heute und damit gab es ein neues SI im Stempelhuehnerhof - dismal mit einer Farbenkombi - Pink/Weiss!!! *schuettel* das ist ja nun so gar nicht mein Ding, aber da ein kleines Maedchen 3 Jahre wird, dachte ich, dass ist eine gute Gelegenheit, die Karte umzusetzen!
Stempel sind von PTI, die Blume aus Filz und Stanze auch PTI. Rosa Stempelfarbe von Ancent Page 'worn lipstick' und Weiss von SU

WMS Pajama Party in Turquoise

At WMS (WaltzingMouseStamps) we have a pajama party - means there are several challenges out there, just go and have a look at Claire's blog! One of the challenges was to create a background. I love doing that and recently I made a card for Stempelhuehnerhof's challenge 'Turquoise and haven't shown it yet here - so, it is about the right time now!
This card was created out of stamps from 'Folk Art Medallion' and 'Folk Art Label 25'. It was pure fun fitting the small, rather unused stamps together. When I finished the bg, it took me some time to make a card out of it, because it is a very strong pattern, that does not allow a lot beside it. At the end I decided for a simple white ribbon and a small tag from PTI. Love the outcome! Now go to Claires' blog and see, if you can get inspired too. Have fun....

Bei WMS (WaltzingMouseStamps) gibt es eine Pajama Party - das heisst, es gibt mehrere Herausforderung fuer verschiedene Stempel, geht und schaut es Euch mal auf Claire's blog an! Eine der Herausforderungen war einen Hintergrund zu kreieren. Das mach ich ja furchtbar gerne und hatte es erst kuerzlich fuer eine Herausforderung in 'Tuerkis' fuer den Stempelhuehnerhof gemacht und noch nicht hier gezeigt. Ich glaub nun ist es an der Zeit!
Diese Karte wurde mit Stempeln aus "Folk Art medallion' und 'Folk Art Label 25' gemacht. Es hat wirklich Spass gemacht die kleinen ehr unbenutzten Stempel zusammen zu fuegen. Als ich das Muster fertig hatte, hat es eine Weile gedauert, bis ich es zu einer Karte verarbeiten konnte, denn der HG ist so stark, ich konnte erst nix so richtig finden, dass dazu passt. Am Ende habe ich mich nur fuer eine weisse Schleife und ein kleines Tag von PTI entschieden, aber nun gefaellt es mir.
Nun schaut mal auf Claire's Blog vorbei, vielleicht werdet ihr ja auch inspiriert.... viel Spass!

Recyling and Flowers

At Stempelhuehnerhof the last Saturday Inspiration (SI) asked for 'Recycling'. Long time ago I kept this velum, that separated two layers of plaster in a box and I decided to use it.
At 'Der Hoffotograph' at Stempelhuehnerhof, we have a beautiful pic of flowers, poppies for inspiration - - between this two inspirations this card was created with a set from Artemio, a quote of Stempelmeer and some Rhinestones. The velum did not take the ink very well and came out very tender. I think it fits the hole card.

Im Stempelhuehnerhof heisst es in der letzten Samstags Inspiration 'Recycling'! Schon seit einiger Zeit habe ich aus einer Pflasterpackung ein Trennpapier aus Transparent aufgehoben und wollte es nun dazu verwenden.
Im Hoffotograph haben wir ein tolles Foto von einer Blumenwiese mit Mohn zur Inspiration. - - Zwischen diesen zwei Inspiration ist die folgende Karte mit einem Set von Artemio entstanden. Der Spruch ist vom Stempelmeer und es wurden noch zwei Glitzersteine hinzugefuegt. Das Transparentpapier hat die Stempelfarbe nicht sonderlich gut angenommen und wurde so sehr zart, aber es gefaellt mit.

WMS Blog Party

Only one hour left, so I think I rather post what I have! My desk is left with bits and pieces, but non of them will be useful for a summer card!
Summer for me means, greens, birds, flowers, colors ... this is what I tried to make. The scene was made out of several stamp sets like 'A good egg', 'Asian Garden'  and 'Teeny Trees'. It was fun to put the summer scene together and I imagine myself, lying under that three in the shade and watching the birds - yes, that is summer!
Wish you a lovely day - here we have a soaring hot summer day - it is 6 o'clock in the evening and still 32C!! they said in the forecast something like African heat wave .... *pheew*

 

Washi Tape

Washi Tape is the challenge at Stempelhuehnerhof - since I had no Mojo while making the last card, I wanted to make another one, one that is more like me...
I saw this idea somewhere, some time ago in the internet and can not remember where it was.... but since the idea was in my mind, that whole card was done in less than 10 min. The Washi Tape is from the coffee discounter, the butterfly from PTI, die from Cuttlebug.
Enjoy the lovely weather - sunny, warm.... makes the world different!

Washi Tape heisst es ja im Stempelhuehnerhof. Nachdem mir meine letzte Karte ja ueberhaupt nicht gefallen hat, wollte ich unbedingt noch eine machen, eine die mehr 'ich' ist...
Ich hatte mal irgendwo in den Weiten des Internets so eine Karte gesehen, kann mich aber leider nicht mehr erinnern wo es war! Aber nachdem die Idee schon im Kopf war, dauerte es nur 10 min bis ich alles auf Papier hatte. Das Washi Tape ist vom Kaffee Discounter und der Schmetti von PTI, Stanzform von Cuttlebug.
Geniesst das schoene Wetter heute - warm und sonnig... das ist doch gleich eine ganz andere Welt, oder?

Tote Hose

Tote Hose - that means literally - dead pants ... if the Germans say that, it means - nothing is working anymore. This is, what is happening to my mojo - simply not there! In summer vacation, sleeping, gone somewhere else! ... For the Saturday Inspiration at Stempelhuehnerhof I needed to make a card with Washi Tape. This is the outcome without mojo, not the best, but a card and the first one for this month!

Tote Hose bei meiner Muse! Irgendwie ist sie in Sommerurlaub, schlaeft, ist irgendwo sonstwo hingegangen... keine Ahnung, jedenfalls nicht da! ... Da ich nun aber eine Karte fuer die Samstags Inspiration im Stempelhuehnerhof brauchte, ist diese Karte entstanden. Kein Knaller, aber eine Karte, die erste diesen Monat!
Benutzt wurden ein Stempel von Inkadinkado, Spruch von SU und das Washi Tape vom Kaffee Discounter.
