For my monkey friend...

Soon, it will be the birthday of my dear monkey friend. LOL She is soooo keen on monkeys, that she goes every year to another place to see monkeys. I wish for her, many monkeys to come!!!

When I saw this monkey from Betty's creations, I knew I had to get it for her birthday card!

The background is made with Versamark and some stamps from Stampendous. The monkey is cut out and put on 3D Pads and the 'birthday sign' is also popping up. I makes a nice effect all together. Some white dots were added to lighten up the card and the crown is colored in gold.

I did my last cleaning for this year *insert the crazy dance*!! Can' t believe the year is nearly at its end.... time is running so fast.

Bald ist der Geburtstag einer lieben Freundin, die eine Affen-liebhaberin ist!! LOL. Sie geht jedes Jahr dahin in den Urlaub, wo es neue Affen zu sehen gibt. Letztes Jahr war sie bei den Gorillas und als ich den Stempel von Betty's Creations gesehen habe, musste ich gleich an sie denken. Mit dieser Karte will ich ihr viele neue Affenurlaube wuenschen LOL

Den HG habe ich mit Versamark und einem Stempel von Stempendous gemacht. Der Affe ist ausgeschnitten und auf 3D Pads gesetzt, genau wie das Geburtstagschild, dass einen schoenen 3D Effekt ergibt. Um den HG noch etwas aufzuhellen, habe ich weisse Punkte (Gluehwuermchen? ) angebracht.

Heute hab ich das letzteMal geputzt fuer diese Jahr!!! *freu, freu, freu*! Irgendwie kann ich gar nicht glauben, dass das Jahr schon um ist... die Zeit geht immer schneller um, je aelter man wird!

...another old one

I have done this card some while ago and it already reached the receiver - it was accompanied by quite some fruits from Egypt and you see, originally I wanted to take the fruits out of the set 'peace and plenty' from Waltzingmouse, but then, I got taken away by the wreath... hope you like it.... I think the receivers did, although I got the feeling, they liked the accompanying fruits more ;) ... and I do understand ;) ...

Diese Karte wurde schon eine Weile her gemacht und hat laengst ihre Empfaenger erreicht. Sie war Beigabe zu aegyptischen Fruechten und eigentlich wollte ich das Fruchtmotiv aus dem Set 'peace and plenty' von Waltzingmouse nehmen, aber bin dann irgendwie an dem Kranz haengen geblieben.... ich hoffe ihr findets trotzdem schoen,... ich glaube die Empfaenger fanden es ganz okay, obwohl sie das beiliegende Obst noch besser fanden *lach* und ich verstehs schon .....

Schoen, dass ihr vorbei geschaut habt... ich arbeite immer noch an Geburtstagskarten, aber die sind noch geheim....

Birthday, birthdays, birthdays....

Yesterday I counted the birthdays of January and found, that I will have to make 7!!! cards until the end of the month, if I want them to be delivered in reasonable time!! *panic* of course - I sat down and started immediately... CAS will help, but most of the cards are for very close friends and they will need very peronal cards... so I better keep going, no rest after the Christmas hectic and mass production!!

First card is a new stamp from Inkadinkado - I just had to have that sweet bird, although it was rather expensive, but I can see many cards made with this one... so it is worth every Cent!!! the berries are highlighted with 3D varnish, the bg is a cuttlebug folder and I added some Stickles that for some reason came out rather greenish :?

The second card is an image from CDS, I love those cute, small images, they are sooo good to use for so many occasions and as always with CDS they are great in value for money...

How many birthdays do you have in January?? ... tell me, do you also believe in the awakening of spring?? LOL - I DO!!!

Gestern hab ich mal die Geburtstage im Januar durchgezaehlt und dabei bemerkt, dass ich noch 7!! Geburtstagskarten bis Ende des Jahres machen muss, wenn sie einigermassen in Zeit ausgeliefert werden sollen!! *PAAANIK* .. ich hab mich gleich mal hingesetzt und angefaengen... CAS kann zwar zT helfen, aber die meisten sind doch so nahe Freunde und Verwandte, sodass sie ganz spezielle Karten benoetigen. Also nix mit Ausruhen nach dem Weihnachtsstress - weiter gehts im Sausesschritt....

Die erste Karte ist mit einem neuen Stempel von Inkadidado gemacht, den musste ich einfach haben, obwohl er ziemlich teuer war, aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass er durch die vielen Karten, die ich damit machen kann und werde jeden Cent wert sein wird ;) . Die Beeren sind mit 3D Lack hervorgehoben und der CB Folder mit weisser Farbe und Stickeles(die komischerweise irgendwie gruen erscheinen) betont.

Bei der 2. Karte wurde ein Motiv von CDS benutzt, ich mag diese kleinen Motive von CDS, sie sind sooo suess und ausserdem recht kostenguestig und vielseitig, besonders wenn man ein portofreies Angebot erwischt - hehe.

Wieviele Geburtstage habe ihr denn im Januar... zaehlt mal schnell durch... und dann sagt mir, ob ihr auch an ein Erwachen der Fruehlingsgefuehle im Maerz/April glaubt ???

SI - Something 'old' and something 'new'

Since the old year is fading away and the new year is already at the door step, I thought a good theme for the Saturday Inspiration at Stempelhuehnerhof would be, to put something old and something new in your project.

After all the time of absence from my stamping desk, it took me like forever until I came up with an idea and my mojo started to work again. So the new thing here is my Stickles(that I finally got) and the aliens stamp from CDS, as well as the alphabet from Just Right. The old thing in the card is one of my first stamps, the firework in the BG from Peddler's Pack and the sketch of last week at Stempelhuehnerhof as well as the good old glass pebbles.

Da nun das alte Jahr so gut wie vorueber ist und das neue Jahr schon an die Tuere klopft, dachte ich, ein gutes Thema fuer das SI im Stempelhuehnerhof ist etwas 'Altes' und etwas 'Neues' in euer Projekt einzubauen.

Nachdem ich ueber 2 Wochen nicht an meinem Schreibtisch gesessen bin, fiel es mir echt schwer meine Muse wieder zu finden und eine Karte fertig zu bringen. Das neue in der Karte sind Stickles die ich nun endlich auch habe und die Aliens von CDS, genau wie die Schrift von Just Right. Das Alte ist der Sketch von letzter Woche, der (ur)alt Feuerwerkstempel von Peddler'sPack und die Drops (die ja mal sooo in Mode waren und die kaum noch benutzt werden)

Ich hoffe es geht euch allen gut, nach dem vielen Weihnachtsessen, -geschenken,-und -feiern, ... schoen das ihr bei mir vorbei schaut und bis bald wieder.

Is it Christmas already????

OMG, time is running and tonight is the night (at least in Germany) of Christmas.... we came back yesterday early morning from our nice vacation, that we have enjoyed tremendous. The mixture of sight seeing, business, family and wellness has turned out perfect and we had a great time looking at all the Christmas hustle and bustle!

Now we are very happy to be back to peace and quietness - Sinai, where all the story of Moses has taken place makes you feel a better understanding of what happened at Christmas, than in the crazy Christmas hectic of Europa. Sure, it is beautiful with all the Christmas trees and decoration, that is something I miss here sometimes, - but the commercial part has taken too much over to the real story.

I wish for all of you a Merry Christmas and that you can find some minutes of peace and quietness for yourself... to find your own Christmas.

Special thanks to all my card making friends all over the world for all the cards I received and little presents - each and every one made me soooo happy. Thanks for taking the time making and sending those precious cards. Special thanks to Tina B for the wonderful present and the birthday card for my husband *hugs*

OMG ist es wirklich schon soweit? Heute Abend ist Heilig Abend?? ... Seit gestern (Mitternacht) sind wir wieder zuhause und erfreuen uns an dem Frieden und der Stille des Sinais, dem Ort wo man der Weihnachtsgeschichte in vielen Aspekten naeher ist, als in Europa. Ich vermisse zwar die schoene Weihnachtsbaeume und -dekoration ein wenig, muss aber sagen, dass mir die Weihnachtshektik, vor allem in den letzten Tagen, als ein zuviel erschien und ich nun froh bin wieder in der Stille zuhause zu sein.

Ich wuensche euch allen eine frohe Weihnacht und das auch ihr, ein paar Minuten wenigstens, fuer euch den Frieden und die Stille geniesen koennt, der Weihnachten eigentlich entspringt!

Speziellen Dank an all meine Stempelfreunde in der ganzen Welt fuer all die schoenen Karten die mich erreicht haben. Danke, dass ihr euch in all der Hektik die Zeit genommen habt an mich zu denken.

I am still alive....

I am still alive - although we are freezing in the snow and in an extreme cold wave.... Siberian cold wave they said in the news
(-17C) !!!!!! .... it looks fairy tale like, but *brrrr* it IS COLD!!! ... few days and I will be back to the sun ....

Ich lebe noch... wenn wir auch benahe unter Schnee begraben und am erfrieren sind ....schaut ja wirklich schoen aus, aber *brrrr * ... sibirische Kaeltewelle sagen sie in den Nachrichten -17C!!!!! .... noch ein paar Tage und ich werd wieder in die Waerme fluechten!!!

What is most important in Amsterdam??? A stamp shop of course!! I went to visit this one - and boy, I tell you, it was soooo good *sight* ... although my money purse speaks a differnet language ... but I guess I don't tell you anything new... enjoy the pre-Christmas time.. (and make an order or two *grin*)

Was ist das wichtigste Ort in Amsterdam? Ein Stempelshop natuerlich!! Ich hab diesen hier gefunden und hab eine gute Zeit dort verbracht *seufz* ... einen netten Schwatz mit der Besitzerin gehalten und einige gute Infos bekommen... und leider hat mein Geldbeutel ein wenig gelitten - aber ich sag euch da sicher nix Neues *lach* ... ich wuensch euch weiterhin eine gute Vorweihnachtszeit... nehmt euch Zeit fuer euch selbst (und macht eure letzten Bestellungen, noch kommen sie rechtzeitig zu Weihnachten an *lach*)...

Jagtschloss Granitz

Our last day on the island, we went to Schloss Granitz. It was said, that there is a very good few from the top of the tower, so we went for it... I have to admit, than older I get, than more problems I have with height.... and this one took me to a boarder.... look at the stairs!! You can see all the way through. Okay, I WANTED TO LOOK FROM UP!! so I kept my eyes strait to the wall and climbed up (38m or 154 steps!!) but uuuuh.....guess you can see, that I was happy, I survieved...

An unserem letzten Tag sind wir Schloss Granitz besuchen gegangen. Es wurde beschrieben, dass man einen wunderschoenen Blick von oben vom Turm hat - hatte man auch, aber dazu musst man erst mal die Treppen hoch!!!(38m oder 154Stufen!!) Je aelter ich werde, um so mehr Schwierigkeiten habe ich mit Hoehe! ... und diese Treppe hat mich wirklich an meine Grenze gebracht!!! Sie ist sowohl offen zur Mitte, wie auch die einzelnen Stufen aus 'geloechertem'... okay, sehr schoenem aber doch durchsichtigem Metal bestehen ...aber, ICH WOLLTE DA HOCH!! Also, Blick feste an die Wand geheftet, bin ich hoch getreppelt, uuuuhrgh.... ich war heilfroh, als ich wieder festen Boden unter den Fuessen zu hatte, ich glaube man sieht es mir an!!

Hoffe der kleine Ruegeneinblick hat euch gefallen und ich geh jetzt Amsterdam anschauen.... schoenen 3.Advent an alle und bis bald wieder. Bye.

Sassnitz and Cape Arkona

Just a few more pics for you.... one day we went to the very north of the island. On our way we came through Sassnitz with the 'Mole' and a very amazing bridge! Next we looked at the 'Kreidefelsen'(chalk rocks)- just a short peek, since the weather was not so good and then we moved on the the very nothern point of the island, Cape Arkona with the old and the new lighthouse. Enjoy!

Hier noch ein paar Bilder... an einem Tag sind wir nach Sassnitz gefahren, hier Blick auf die Mole und eine supermoderne Bruecke! Dann sind wir bei den Kreidefelsen vorbei gefahren, leider war das Wetter nicht zum Laufen gut und so sind wir weiter zum suedlichsten Punkt der Insel, Cape Arkona mit dem alten und neuen Leuchturm gefahren. Viel Spass beim Schauen.

So, we decided to go to Ruegen, Germany's biggest island, full of beautiful old, well renovated houses (in the so called 'Baederarchitektur') - we are in love with this island!! Here two pics from our trip to the Ostseebad Binz and the gorgeous 'Kurhaus' and from the 'Seebruecke Sellin' with the 'Kaiserpavillon'. Do not let the beautiful pics fool you - I froze my buns of there, geeeee this country is cold...

Wir sind nach Ruegen gefahren, Deutschlands groesste Insel mit wunderbaren alten, renovierten Haeusern in Baederarchitektur-Stil - eine Insel zum Verlieben! (wenns nur nicht so kalt waere!!). Hier zwei Bilder von unserem gestrigen Ausflug zum Ostseebad Binz mit dem wunderschoenen Kurhaus im Hintergrund und von der Seebruecke Sellin mit dem Kaiserpavillion. Wunderschoen, aber boah, ich sags euch KALT!!!!

Time to relax and where should we go....

Finally it is time to relax... nearly all the crafting is done, presents wrapped, cloth ..well, close to the suitcase and hopefully soon everything will be ready!
Egypt is a wonderful place, we have -specially here in Sharm- all year around this vacation mood and sun, but when it comes to Christmas I miss the hassle and bussle of Christmas markets and light chains, gingerhouses and smell of cinnamon everywhere, (I do not miss the snow though) .... so, I will go and look where I can find a bit of Christmas mood.
Now I hope, that this time I did not leave a hint and kept my mouth shut (it was oh so difficult!!!) to say, where we will be heading.... so I can make it a quiz for you. My question is.... where will I go, where will I find my Christmas mood???
Our trip will be quite some hops and I am talking about our FIRST destination. .... I said, that we will be a few days in the Black Forrest with the family - so this one does not count.... I said, my husband will be for a meeting in Amsterdam, so this one is out as well.....hehe....okay I give you a little hint, ....we love old houses and the sea - a bridge is a must! That's it!... you leave me a comment and show me, how well all of you (national and international) know Germany *big grin* I am so looking forward to your answers...
Now what would be my treat for you??? My suitcases are full and my time is limited, so I thought about something, easy to send and light to carry.... I came up with a printout of the template of that gorgeous little house I made recently HERE you can have a look at it, it is actually a box and printed on the same colors... so you just need to cut it and decorate it yourself, it is sooo, so fun believe me and a gorgeous box for a nice treat.... mine was used for a Advent calendar, the little presents that did not fit inside where laid in a circle around and made a super sweet couple here so happy....

This card was made with my favourite PTI set and is going to be the birthday card for my husband while we are traveling. He will get a wellness treat for me, the birthday wishes are stamped inside.

In the coming days I might post a photo or two about our trip... so stay tuned, pass by and enjoy the Christmas mood as well... bye for now.

Endlich ist es soweit, time to relax! Beinahe alle Geschenke sind gebastelt und eingepackt und die Kleider, naja sind zumindest in der Naehe des Koffers und ich hoffe bis heute Abend hab ichs geschafft.

Ich liebe Egypt, besonders hier in Sharm, haben wir das ganze Jahr Sonne und Urlaubsstimmung, aber wenn es zu Weihnachten kommt, dann fehlen mir Weihnachtsmaerkte, Lichterketten, Einkaufsrummel, Lebkuchenhaeuser und der Geruch von Zimt in der Luft... (nur den Schnee, vermiss ich nicht).... ich werden mich also aufmachen und mal suchen, wo ich diese Weihnachststimmung finden kann!

Ich hoffe, diesmal habe ich mich nicht verquatscht und keinem gesagt (argh, das war ganz schoen schwer!) wo wir hinfahren werden und kann nun einen Quiz fuer euch daraus machen.

Die Frage ist, wo werden wir hinfahren??? (Familie ist hier ausgeschlossen, denn denen hab ichs natuerlich gesagt!)

Unsere Reise besteht aus mehreren Teilen und gefragt ist hier der ERSTE Teil, denn dass ich in den Schwarzwald zur Famile gehe, hab ich ja gesagt und dass mein Mann ein Meeting in Amsterdam hat, hab ich auch laut verkuendet... diese beiden Antworten fallen also weg... hehe... okay, ich geb Euch einen kleinen Tip, mein Mann und ich lieben alte Haeuser und das Meer und eine Bruecke muss sein. So, das ist genug!! ... Wenn ihr Lust habt, hinterlasst mir ein Kommentar mit der Antwort und zeigt mir wie gut ihr Deutschland kennt! *ginzzz* ich freue mich schon auf Eure Antworten....

Fuer den, der als erstes die richtige Antwort hinterlaesst, hab ich auch eine Kleinigkeit parat. Da ich nicht viel Platz im Koffer habe und auch nicht viel Zeit zum Vorbereiten habe, hab ich einen Umschlag hier fertig gemacht, in dem die Vorlage fuer die nette Box in Form eines Hauses, dass ihr HIER schon sehen konntet ausgedruckt ist, in den gleichen Farben (creme/bordeaux). Ausschneiden und dekorieren duerft ihr dann selbst, das ist ja der Fun Part. Diese Box ist eine superschoene Verpackung, ich hab damals einen Adventkalender reingemacht, die Geschenke die nicht reinpassten hab ich im Kreis drumrum gelegt und es hat superschoen ausgesehen und ein nettes Paerchen hier gluecklich gemacht!

Meine Karte wurde mit meinem momentanen Lieblingsset von PTI gemacht und ist die Geburtstagskarte fuer meinen Mann, der waehrend unserer Reise Geburstag hat. Er bekommt von mir einen Wellness Gutschein und da passt dieses Motiv und der Spruch schoen, die Geburtstagwuensche sind innen noch reingestempelt.

Ich werde euch in den naechsten Tage immer mal wieder ein Bild posten, also kommt immer mal wieder gucken, wo ich mich rumtreibe.... erfreut auch ihr euch an der Vorweihnachststimmung und bis bald wieder.

Some Labels...

Another day of inspiration at Stempelhuehnerhof,... yesterday labels were asked... I had to make some anyway, because of my Christmas cookies. The last days every evening my oven was working and the outcome was now packed and simple labels added. These will be our gifts for our trip to Germany. Whenever we go and visit someone, it is a good gift to bring.

Gestern war das Tuerchen im Adventskalender im Stempelhuehnerhof Labels/Anhaenger.... ich musste sowieso noch Anhaenger fuer meine selbstgebackenen Weihnachtskeks machen. In den letzten Tagen hatte ich jeden Tag eine andere Sorte im Ofen. Diese Kekes werden als Mitbringsel fuer unseren kommenden Deutschlandbesuch verwendet... man kommt ja nie gerne mit leeren Haenden und um diese Zeit ist das immer ein schoenes Mitbringsel. Die Tags sind eher einfach, mit Spellbinders ausgestanzt (ich weiss nie die Nummer *rot werd*) ... Rahmen und Schnoerkel sind von Waltzingmouse und die Schrift von CDS.

Ich muss jetzt leider putzen gehen... grrr, mag ich gar nicht.... aber muss halt sein... ich wuensch euch einen schoeneren Tag!

Cookies in a jar - and Happy Birthday Heike!

At Stempelhuehnerhof we count the days to Christmas. Each day we have another surprise project for our users. The first day Anja (Schnubbel) introduced 'cookies in a jar'... with the recipe and everything. Cool project and for a long time on my list, so I just needed the push! Today is the birthday of my best friend from school time - and yes, we are still in contact, although between us are thousands of km, - so this is going to be her birthday present. Since it will be a bit difficult to transport through airplanes and bags, I would like her to look at it here, cause I get a feeling it might not look quite the same, when it arrives *blush* .... though the taste will be the same good taste LOL

So Happy Birthday to you Heike, hope your day is a special one! Enjoy your day and say hello from me to everybody.

Im Stempelhuehnerhof haben wir einen Adventskalender! Jeden Tag wird eine Tuer mit einer neuen Bastelidee geoeffnet. Am ersten Tag hat Anja (Schnubbel) 'Cookies in a Jar' vorgestellt. Dabei werden die trockenen Zutaten fuer Kekse schoen in ein Glas geschichtet. Das ist etwas, was ich schon ganz lange vor habe und ich hatte mir bereits auch in Kairo das Glas dafuer gekauft. Deshalb konnte ich es jetzt schoen umsetzten und als Geburtstagsgeschenk fuer meine beste Freundin aus Jugendtagen arrangieren. Ich denke mal, es ist besser sie schaut es sich jetzt hier und heute an, denn ich weiss nicht, wie es nach der Reise und Transport im Flugzeug und Tasche aussehen wird.... aber der Geschmack bleibt ja der Gleiche, nur die Schoenheit leidet evtl. ein bishen ;-)

Sie hat heute Geburtstag und ich winke jetzt mal wie wild nach Aach und sage Hallo und alles, alles Gute zum Geburtstag fuer dich und liebe Gruesse an alle - feiert heute schoen und lass dich ein wenig von deiner Familie verwoehnen!!

More Mass Production

You see, I am really under high pressure (this is when I work best!) - I have to finish my Christmas cards, before we travel - so I needed more mass production! So yesterday I went to SCS and looked at what the girls did for the CAS challenge. I took an idea from here - and from there - and came up with a new mass production card. This one took me longer though, guess the 10 cards took around 2h, which is still okay. The base of the card was cuttled directly and then the stripe was stamped with a stamp from PTI Damask set. The quote is from Waltzingmouse, the German quote from Flamingo Arts - they are cut as an oval and layered with a label from Spellbinders. A button had to be added.... I realized, that I definitely need a Christmas card with a button!! Me, the button freak LOL....

Ihr koennt sehen, der Druck waechst!!(leider schaff ich dann am Bessten *rot werd*) Meine Weihnachtskarten muessen fertig werden bevor wir verreisen und ich hab noch 1000 andere Dinge zu tun!! Geschrieben und Umschlaege beschriften muss ich auch noch und die Zeit rennt und rennt *panik*....

Also bin ich gestern bei SCS und der CAS Challenge vorbeigesurft und habe ein paar Ideen mitgenommen, - so ist diese neue Massenproduktion entstanden. Die Kartenbasis wurde direkt gecuttled und der Streifen mit einem Stempel aus dem PTI Set Damask bestempelt. Der engl Spruch ist von Waltzingmouse und der deutsche von Flamingo Arts. Die Sprueche wurden oval ausgestanzt und mit einem Label von Spellbinders unterlegt. Ein Knopf durfte nicht fehlen *lach* ist ja klar und diesmal hab ich es geschafft das Band direkt durch die Knopfloecher zu ziehen.

Wuensche euch noch einen schoenen Abend, ich geh jetzt backen... backt ihr auch schon? Vielleicht sollten wir Rezepte tauschen... ich mach jetzt Orangenkugeln.... also bis bald wieder.
