Visitors of yesterday..

Yesterday I had lovely visitors over here. Actually from Italy and Austria, friends that I got to know through the German stamping forum. We had a very nice afternoon together, with lot's of chatting of course as well as some tea and cake. We also exchanged some chicken-presents *ggg*.
I was so happy to receive a new Penny Black stamp from her, one that has been on the top of my list for a long time. Against all the work demand around me, I sat down on my desk today and used the sketch from SCS to make this card. I could not deceide on a quote yet, guess when I will really use the card, I will still stamp something inside...
Since my weekend is starting today, - have a nice weekend and thanks for passing by...

Gestern hatte ich BA und Rudi, sowie BAs Mutter hier zu Besuch. Wir hatten einen sehr schoenen Nachmittag zusammen, haben viel gegackert *ggg* neben Tee und Kuchen und natuerlich haben wir auch Huehnergeschenke ausgetauscht. Oben auf dem Bild seht ihr meine Geschenke von ihr.
Ba hat mich mit einem Penny Black Stempel verwoehnt(einem, der schon ganz lange auf meiner Wunschliste steht) und natuerlich musste ich den heute gleich mal ausprobieren,.... aller Arbeit zum Trotz, hab ich mich an den Schreibtisch gesetzt und den Stempel mit den SCS Sketch von dieser Woche verarbeitet. Irgendwie konnte ich mich nicht fuer einen Spruch entscheiden und hab es am Ende gelassen... wenn ich weiss fuer wenn, oder was die Karte ist, kann ich ja noch was innen rein stempeln.
Da mein Wochenende heute schon beginnt, wuensche ich Euch ein schoenes Wochenende und Danke fuers vorbei schauen...

... then here are the 'blue boxes', this time they are flower boxes - and again, I made it double rightaway..... the left picture is taken in the morning sun, the right picture was taken at noon time - without sun today :-( , that's why the colors appear so different ..... stamps are from Lelo Design, Hero Arts, Penny Black, Stamping Duck, SU.

... und nochmal Boxen... diesmal eine Variation in Blau....und auch gleich wieder im Doppelpack..... das linke Bild hab ich heute morgen in der Morgensonne aufgenommen, das Rechte mittags, OHNE Sonne!! ... Komisches Wetter heute,....deswegen sehen die Farben so verschieden aus....

SI - orange/black

The Saturday Inspiration at Stempelhuehnerhof this time had a color theme: orange/black.... so those who like Halloween, can make a Halloween card and those who are not fan of it, are free to use the colors for something else.... of course I made a Halloween card.... I really love that cute pirate from Lelo Design and I added some sculls and the 'Happy' From the Inkadinkadu Clear Stamp set, as well asthe skeletons in the BG, unfortunatly the photo does not show it. The 'Boo' is from Hero Arts.

Das Thema bei der Samstagsinpiration auf dem Huehnerhof, war schwarz/orange. So konnten die, die Halloween moegen, was dafuer machen und die, die es nicht moegen, koennen einfach die Farbkombi nehmen.... ich habe natuerlich was fuer Halloween gemacht.

Der Pirat ist von Lelo Design, ich mag ihn furchtbar gerne und die Totenkoepfe und das 'Happy' ist von Inkadinkadu... genau wie die Skelette im HG, die leider auf dem Bild ueberhaupt nicht rauskommen. Das 'Boo' ist von Hero Arts.

More Boxes....

... we are going towards full moon and sleeping is not on the agender.... so I thought, I might as well get up and be productive.... I made two more of these 3" boxes ... they will go as presents to my German family... these ones, are filled with Christmas cards...I deceided to make always two boxes together, same theme and designs, so I am a bit faster.... time is running and I am way behind scedule .....

... es geht wohl auf Vollmond zu und Schlafen ist irgendwie nicht so angesagt. Da dachte ich, kann ich auch gleich produktiv sein, bin also aufgestanden und habe 2 von diesen Boxen (3") gemacht und 2x 5 Kaertchen dazu. Ich habe beschlossen immer gleich 2 auf einmal zu machen, gleiches Thema und gleiches Design. Diese hier hat Weihnachten als Thema. Die Boxen werden als Mitbringsel nach Deutschland mitgenommen...Stempel von SU, Penny Black, Inque Boutique, Flamingo Arts und Stamping Duck

Papyrus

Last night I pulled out my Papyrus - it has been in the shelf for too long.... I forgot completly about it. ...I ran it through the Cuttlebug, to put the swirls on it and then, with Beates's Sketch, it made a great match.... and also fits the callenge 'der Hoffotograf' at Stempelhuehnerhof.... where the foto was a staircase winding up.... I took just the round image of the whole thing and thought it would match with the sketch nicely.

The camels are from Stamp Franzisko, still my favourite camels.... I sponged the mountains in the BG and now it looks just like Sharm el Sheikh *g*. The quote is from Stamping Duck, the layer under the papyrus and the stars are made from gold paper. The star in the quote got a rhinestone, it makes a nice blink on the card.

I will go now and make my card for SI, there the challenge ist orange/black... see you soon then...and thanks for passing by...

Gestern Abend habe ich mal wieder meinen Papyrus rausgezogen, hatte schon benahe vergessen, dass ich noch habe *g* .... und hab ihn mit dem Swirls Folder durch die Cuttlebug gezogen.... wenn der Papyrus sehr trocken ist, dann bespruehe ich ihn ein wenig mit Wasser, bevor ich ihn durch die Maschine drehe, so wird er wieder weich und nimmt die Praegung gut auf.

Dann habe ich Beates Sketch gesehen und dachte, dass er gut dazu passt... zusammen mit meiner heiss gelieben Karawane von Stamp Franzisko und dem 'merry christmas' von Stamping Duck, wurde es zu einer Weihnachtskarte verarbeitet. Die Mattung unter dem Papyrus und die zwei Sterne rechts und links vom Kreis sind Goldpapier und der Stern im Stempel hat noch einen Rhinestone zum Glitzern bekommen. Der HG hinter den Kamelen ist gewischt und sieht so nun aus wie die Berge hier in Sharm el Sheikh *g* . Das Ganze passt auch in den Hoffotograf, wo das Inspirationsfoto eine Wendelstreppe war, ich hab einfach das Runde als Inspiration genommen ;-)

Wuensche euch noch einen schoenen Tag,.... ich geh jetzt meine Karte fuers SI machen... dort ist die Challenge Orange/Schwarz.... bis bald also....

Visitors

Soon, I hope, I will have some visitors here in Sharm, friends from the German forum.... and since I know, that she is already on the road, and will not look here, I think I can show the present that I made for her...
... since I know that she will have a nice event coming up, I thought this book might help her to get organized...it has 6 different categories inside... and I deceided not to write anything yet on the labels, because she has to deceide herself what is most important for her....I tried to keep the cover of the book simpel, which turned out to be the biggest challenge....

The book is made of index cards..and cardstock for seperation....the ribbon is actually glued between the layers of the cover, so it does not get lost... is case it bothers her, she can just cut it of, but I thought it is kind of better organizend if you can keep it closed... I used a stamp from Fiskars, and the letters from Penny Black, as well as the Cuttlebug Folder 'Swiss Dots' and the Bind it All

.... ich hoffe, bald jemand zu Besuch hier in Sharm zu haben.... viele von Euch wissen schon wen *lach*... Da diese Person bereits auf Reise ist und nicht im Internet, kann ich das Geschenk fuer sie schon zeigen .... und da sie bald ein schoenes Ereignis haben wird, hoffe ich, ihr mit diesem kleinen Buch eine Hilfe zu schaffen...

Das Buch ist mit Karteikarten gemacht und zur Abtrennung der 6Unterteilungen hab ich Cardstock genommen. Das rote Band, mit dem das Ganze geschlossen werden kann, ist zwischen den Mattungen fixiert und kann so nicht rausfallen. Falls es ihr das Band zuviel ist, kann sie es auch einfach abschneiden, aber ich finde es ist irgenwie besser organisiert, wenn man es zumachen kann. Der Stempel ist von Fiskars und das Alphabet ist von Penny Black, der CB Folder 'Swiss Dots' und mein Bind it All ..... ich habe versucht das Ganze einfach zu gestalten, ohne viel Schnick-Schnack - und das war meine groesste Herausforderung......

In die ovalen Agendar hab ich mal noch nix reingeschrieben, sie soll selber entscheiden, was wichtig ist fuer sie...meine Hochzeit ist schon so lange her, aber ich dachte an: Gaesteliste, Essen, Einladungen, Hochzeitskleidung, Restaurant/Hotel, Sonstiges... was meint ihr? faellt Euch noch eine Kategorie ein?

Beate's Inspiration

... actually, I did not plan on making a card today, but then we got a very nice present yesterday( some special sweets) and I wanted to say a 'thank you' to the sweet lady, that gave it to us.
So I thought of using Beate's inspiration.... eye striking for me were, the dots of the cushions and the bit of red, - but only, after I saw the cards of the DT... nearly everybody had discovered these red spots, and they really pop up the card.
I used from Whipper Snapper the cupcake mouse, the dots in the BG are from Magnolia and 'thanks' from Flamingo Arts.

Eigentlich wollte ich heute gar keine Karte machen, es stehen so viele andere Dinge auf dem Plan,.... aber dann haben wir gestern so ein nettes Geschenk bekommen (Kuchen), dass ich eine Dankeskarte fuer die nette Spenderin machen wollte.

Deshalb dachte ich, verwende ich doch gleich mal Beates Inpiration dazu. Was mir sofort an dem Bild auffiel, waren die gepunkteten Kissen und das bischen rot - das ist mir eigentlich erst aufgefallen, als ich mir die Karten vom DT angeschaut habe und benahe jeder hat den Tupfen rot entdeckt und verwendet... und es peppt die Karte richtig schoen auf.

Verwendet habe ich die Cupcake Mouse von WS, die Punkte im HG von Magnolia und das 'thanks' von Flamingo Arts.

.... there will be 5 of these 3" x 3" cards (very little indead). I used again mainly 'one of a kind' SU and "Sincere Salutations' as well as quotes from Stempelmeer, and Flamingo Arts. I also made the envelopes for these cards myself, (can't find any ready made here), after making the first template, it went actually very fast. ...

... werden diese 5 kleinen (3" x 3") Kaertchen sein (echt winzig). Ausserdem habe ich die Umschlaege dazu noch selber gemacht, denn hier kann ich sowas nicht fertig finden. Es ging aber recht schnell, nachdem ich mir eine Vorlage gemacht hatte. Benutzt habe ich wieder hauptsaechlich den 'One of A kind' von SU, ausser dem den 'Sincere Salutations' und Sprueche von Stempelmeer und Flamingo Arts.

3' x 3" Box

Since I know, that we will be traveling to Germany, I am on the search for presents. This is, when I came across the nice workshop for 3" x3" note card boxes over at SCS. The wokshop ist done by Laurie Schmidlin she has a wonderful blog as well.

To be honest, it was quiete a fight for me last night. Although the instructions are clear and simple, I produced a lot of waste, ......and yet, my outcome is far from being perfect. Still I am happy with it... is was my first box, the next one will be easier... and I deceided that I MUST have that Score Pal *oops*.... *sight*

I used an Anna Griffin stamp from All Night Medial - love that pattern.... and for the first time I am happy with the outcome of my 'one of a kind' SU set.... I still did not deceide, what to put in the box,.... may be, I will make some fitting 3" x 3"cards, or I will just put some sweets in the box......easy, peasy...

Seitdem ich weiss, dass wir nach Deutschland gehen, bin ich auf der Suche nach Geschenken als Mitbringsel....dabei habe ich bei den Splitis diesen Workshop gefunden 3" x 3" note card box . Er ist von Laurie Schmidlin , sie hat einen wunderbaren Blog und ist vielen von Euch schon bekannt.

Um ehrlich zu sein, war es ein ziemlicher Kampf gestern abend, obwohl die Anleitung einfach und klar ist, habe ich jede Menge Abfall produziert.... und trotzdem ist meine Box weit weg von perfekt.... aber ich bins zufrieden. Es war meine erste Box und die Naechsten werden sicher einfacher..... ausserdem habe ich beschlossen, dass ich den Score Pal einfach haben MUSS *oops* ... *seufz*....

Ich weiss noch nicht, was in die Box reinkommt... die passenden Karten, wie im Original vorgeschlagen, oder einfach nur was Suesses....

Benutzt habe ich einen Stempel von Anna Griffin, All Night Media und das SU Set 'One of a kind'

SI - Kleine schmale Karte

Over at the Hero Arts Blog I saw the other day a very nice small notecard.... I liked the shape and made it a challenge at SI-Stempelhuehnerhof. Thought this is a nice card to put on the breakfast plate of your hubby, or on the desk of your colleague, or stick it in the schoolbook of your child.....to make someone's day!! ... at first, I took the wrong measures and made it a bit too small *oops* ... but then saw a magnetic bookmark at the Stempelhuehnerfhof from Anuschka.... and just added two magnetic stripes inside... an voila... new idea... it became a bookmark that can not fall off your page ;-)

Then today, my second trial.... the basic card (without the circel), is approximatly 6.5cm high and the length is like a normal cardstock, 29cm, folded into half(14,5cm). I used the quote, bird and owl from Hero Arts and the flowers in the BG from Folia, as well as the stripe with the butterfly.

... diese kleine schmale Karte hatte ich auf dem Hero Arts Blog gesehen und hab sie im Si-Stempelhuehnerhof zum Thema gemacht. Ich fand das ist eine nette Karte, um dem Mann auf den Fruehstucksteller zu stellen, oder der Kollegin auf den Schreibtisch, oder den Kindern in ein Schulbuch .... um jemand einfach den Tag zu versuessen ... zuerst hab ich die Masse falsch genommen und es wurde sehr, sehr klein *oops* ....dann hab ich im Stempelhuehnerhof bei einer Userin gesehen, dass sie Lesezeichen mit Magneten innen drinn macht, so kann das Lesezeichen nicht aus dem Buch fallen... gesagt(gesehen) getan, aus der Karte wurde ein Lesezeichen *grins*

Dann heute habe ich mich nochmals drann gesetzt.... die Karte hat nun die Masse, in der Hoehe 6,5cm und in der Breite eine normale Klappkarte (29cm auf die Haelfte gefaltet = 14,5cm)... der Spruch, Vogel und Eule sind von Hero Arts, die Blumen im HG, sowie die Linien mit dem Schmetterling von Folia.

It's World Card Making Day today...

....so I want to show you a card, that I finished early this morning in honor of this day.... the sketch is from Beate's Blog and the color combination from SCS. I used the bird from Stamp Franzisko and in the BG the Linenstamp from Stamping Duck, the chocolate brown panel is put on 3D Pads, the edges of the blue, long panel is distressed, ... I am getting better with that, but not perfect yet. ....

.... deshalb moechte ich euch die Karte zeigen, die heute ganz frueh morgens entstanden ist. Der Sketch ist von Beates Blog und die Farbkombi hab ich bei SCS gesehen. Der Vogel ist von Stamp Franzisko und im HG (sehr zart) der Leinenstempel von Stamping Duck. Das gewellte, dunkelbraune Teil ist mit 3D Pads hochgesetzt und der lange blaue Streifen ist distressed - so langsam komme ich mit diesem Distesser zurecht, auch wenn es noch nicht perfekt ist....

This is my card for the Hoffotograf at Stempelhuehner, wie had a gorgeous photo vom BA as an inspiration...

I used my Penny Black 'Winter Bought' and the 'Merry Christmas' from Inkadinkadu Clear Stamp Set.

When I finished the card, I showed it to my husband... well, I have nobody else here - so the poor guy has to take up with his wife showing him cards all the time... with the years, he got to learn, to judge better than just 'yes', 'hmm', 'nice'.... and so his comment was, that the contrast, from red to white is too stong... DANG... did I want to hear this, NO... but I had to admit, he was right... so I sat down again and sponged the edges, -- and it happend, what had to happen - I messed the card *cry*.... I actually know, that one should not sponge a finished card.... but well ..... at least, I can blame my husband for it*g* .... because remember*g*, I have nobody else here *giggle*......

Ich hab gestern Abend meine Karte fuer den Hoffotograf gemacht. Wir haben dort ein super schoenes Foto von BA als Inspiration.... als ich das Fotos sah, fiel mir sofort der Penny Black 'Winter Bought' ein, weil er eben auch Beeren hat und dazu hab ich das 'Merry Christmas' von Inkadinkadu benutzt....

Als ich die Karte fertig hatte, habe ich sie meinem Mann gezeigt - wem soll ich sie denn sonst zeigen, ich hab ja sonst niemand hier, der Arme muss immer herhalten und mittlerweile ist er auch echt Kritik faehig - also ueber das Stadium 'ja' 'ganz nett' raus ..... er meinte also, der Kontrast von weiss zu rot waere zu stark....*grummel* ....selber schuld, warum hatte ich ihn auch gefragt....nach etwas rumgrummeln meinerseits, musste ich ja zugeben, dass er Recht hatte ......also hab ich mich hingesetzt und hab noch gewischt - und es kam wie es kommen musste ... ich habs versaut, ich weiss ja eigentlich, dass man fertige Karte wirklich nicht nachtraeglich wischt .... egal.... Schuld ist mein Mann*g*, wer denn auch sonst *g*- ich hab ja hier sonst niemand *ggg*....

Organizer

This was another easy fun project for me today. With the download from A Muse Art Stamp , came also this kind of birthday calendar....and I deceided, that I will fit it to be an agenda. I just printed it on normal copy paper, cut it to size (A6) and decorated each month with stamps, all very easy and simple.... then I added the weekdays (actually only Friday and Saturday, that's enough to be oriented ). Next I added a heavy cardstock (musst be 200g paper) to have it a bit sturdy.... and used my Bind It All..... now I can fill it, with events, birthays, traveling, all kind of important dates....it will be handy on my desk and I, hopefully more organized.....

Sorry, the photos are not great.... there was not enough light anymore...but I think you can get what it is....

Heute habe ich wieder mal was fuer mich selbst gebastelt... mit dem Kalender von A Muse Art Stamp kam auch eine Art Geburtstagskalender(also ohne Wochentage) .... den hab ich mir ein wenig zurecht gebastelt.... ich hab den Kalender auf Kopierpapier ausgedruckt und zugeschnitten (A6) und dann jeden einzelnen Monat, ganz einfach bestempelt, ohne SchnickSchnack.... dann hab ich mir die Wochentage dazugeschrieben (eigentlich nur Freitag und Samstag, das reicht mir).... einen etwas dickeren Karton noch dazugetan, damit es etwas Festigkeit gewinnt und dann das Ganze mit dem Bind It All gebunden - fertig! Nun kann ich mir alle wichtigen Daten da reinschreiben... das gute Teil wird neben mir auf dem Schreibtisch liegen, damit ich hoffentlich etwas oranisierter werde *ggg*....

First Christmas Card in October - Beates's Inspiration

Last night I sat down and made my first Christmas card for October, two more will follow, like every month .... I am actually glad, that I was persistant and made the three card/month, because starting from mid October to mid November I will be very busy with visitors.... this is the time, when the weather gets nice in Egypt (and bad in Europe) and all of a sudden everybody wants to come *ggg*.... so there will be not a lot of time left for making Christmas cards.... this one is made with the Inkadikadu Clear Stamp Set, BG Penny Black.... and Beate's Inspiration.... well, I went a bit away from the inspiration, looking at her pic, I wrote down: Blue, red, brown, twigs, nice sketch....

I do not own a lot of stamps with branches or twigs, so I came up with this Christmas Set, I took the colors, although their shades are quite different,.... I kept the main panel in the middle/right... but for the upper and lower part, I deceided to use the Penny Black stamp... and for the panel to the very left I just used piercing instead.....looks far away from the inspiration piece, but still, it is inspired by it :-)

I want to say "Happy Feast- and enjoy your vaccation" to all my Egyptian Friends and to everybody, thanks for looking and enjoy your day.

Gestern Abend habe ich meine erste Weihnachtskarte fuer Oktober gemacht, zwei weitere werden diesen Monat noch folgen... wie jeden Monat sollen es drei werden!

Ich bin unheimlich froh, dass ich es geschafft habe, meine Weihnachtskarten jeden Monat zu machen, denn ich weiss nun, das ich von Mitte Oktober bis Mitte November fast staendig Besuch haben werden - wie jedes Jahr, wenn das Wetter bei uns hier in Egypt gut wird (und in Europa schlecht) wollen ploetzlich alle mal vorbei kommen*ggg*..... und deshalb wird mir nicht viel Zeit zum Karten machen bleiben.

Diese Karte ist mir dem Inkadikadu Clear Stamp Set gemacht und im HG ein Penny Black Stempel.... ausserdem habe ich Beate's Inspiration verwendet... aehm, dieses mal bin ich ein wenig von der Inspiration abgedriftet.... als ich das Foto sah, habe ich folgendes aufgeschrieben: blau, rot, braun, Aeste, schoenes Layout

Ich habe nicht so viele Stempel mit Aesten und so kam ich bald auf dieses Weihnachtsset... die Farben sind vorhanden, aber in anderen Farbschattierungen, ....das mittlere/rechte Hauptstueck ist geblieben, aber statt der Stuecke oben und unten, hab ich nun den Penny Black Stempel verwendet und das Stueck auf der linken Seite, habe ich durch piercing ersetzt... es ist also ganz was Neues dabei rausgekommen - aber inspiriert von Beate's Foto :-)

Ich moechte all meinen aegyptischen Freunden, auf diesem Wege ein schoenes Fest und schoene Ferien wunschen... und allen Anderen, danke fuers Schauen und einen schoenen Tag.
